The university utilizes the credit hour system. This system requires that students earn a total number of credit hours, as determined by the university, to complete their program of study. The required number of credit hours is distributed over a certain number of semesters, depending on the program (see Table given below).

All AUST colleges offer their programs at both Ajman and Fujairah campuses.
