H.H. Ajman Ruler Chairs AUST Board of Trustees’ Meeting

His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, chaired on Monday 6, 2013, an ordinary session of Ajman University of Science & Technology. H.H. Sheikh Rashed Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, President of Ajman Municipality & Planning Department and board member, also attended the meeting.

His Highness the Chairman of the Board welcomed the board members and whished them all the success in carrying out the University’s goals, and implementing its mission. “ the great accomplishments achieved by Ajman University raises the bar for this Board which we are confident, thanks to the distinguished people  it is constituted from, it will actively contribute to AUST development and enhancement.” H.H. said, calling the board “to enforce the board’s statutes and review the University policies and procedures to ensure better efficiency and full target attainment.”

“Human development is a key objective of the UAE leadership. His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, His Highness Mohammed bin Rashed Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and their brothers Their Highnesses the Rulers of the Emirates, firmly believe that education and investment in our nation’s young generation is the key to ensuring sustainable development and the surest way to build a scientifically, culturally, socially, and economically strong and homogenous society.”  His Highness also stated his commitment to AUST fulfilling of its share in this national strategy.”

During the meeting the Board ratified new amendments to its statutes, and approved the proposition to establish a number of Board’s subcommittees, the membership of which will be decided in the next meeting. The Board also approved AUST graduate list of 2012-2013 and AUST budget of 2013-2014.

The meeting of the Board of Trustees of Ajman University was also attended by H.E. Saeed Mohamed Al Rakabani, Advisor to H.H. Ruler of Fujairah, H.E. Abdullah Al Mazroui, Dr. Ali Bin Rashid, Vice Chancellor of UAE University, Mr. Osama Salman, AUST Vice President.  Dr. Abdurahman Sultan Al Sharhan, Dr. Saeed Abdullah Hareb, Eng. Khaled Salman, and Mr. Salem bin Ahmed Al Nuaimi, Advisor to H.H. the Ruler of Ajman for Charity Affairs  and Secretary General of Human Appeal International.
