An 11-member student delegation from the Department of Architecture, College of Engineering of Ajman University of Science and Technology, just returned from a visit to Tokyo University, Tokyo - Japan, where they attended a workshop organized for them by the world renowned architect Kinjo Kuma.
AUST students, who were accompanied by Dr. Imad Mushtahi, from the college of engineering, were introduced to traditional and modern Nippon architecture. The trip included field visits to other architecture institutions and landmark buildings in the Tokyo Area and students were given the opportunity to interact with peer Japanese students and discuss the particularities of Arab and Japanese architecture.
Architect Kuma praised the academic competence of AUST students, which was obvious in the workshops’ discussions, questions, and remarks. AUST delegation expressed their appreciation for the excellent way in which the workshop was organized and invited, on behalf of AUST administration, Dr. Kuma to conduct his next workshop in AUST campus in Ajman.
