AUST to Celebrate “Thank You Khalifa” Class in Ajman & Fujairah
Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, and His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, AUST will celebrate the graduation of its 23rd batch of students this October. This year’s class is the 10th batch of AUT students to graduate during the presidency of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, and to mark this occasion AUST new batch has been named the “Thank You Khalifa Class”.
Under the wise leadership of President Khalifa, the UAE has become a symbol of comprehensive development in the world. His Highness has always encouraged all sorts of development initiatives especially in the education sector and has provided an ideally conducive environment to foster a prosperous future for citizens and residents alike. Today the UAE is recording unprecedented growth in science and knowledge whilst remaining deeply rooted in the humanitarian values of community service. The “Thank You Khalifa Class” motto is a humble gesture of appreciation and allegiance to His Highness the UAE President.
The preparations are in full swing at AUST; graduates have started collecting their regalia and invitations in both Ajman and Fujairah campuses. To ease the process for graduates and keep them updated, AUST has launched a dedicated website, commencement.ajman.ac.ae, which contains all the information grads and guest should know about and acts as a portal between the University and its “Thank You, Khalifa” Class.
More interaction has been encouraged by adopting a special hashtag #austgrad14 on all social media channels where graduates are expressing and celebrating with their peers and friends the joy of achievement.
The dates for the ceremonies in Ajman are 14th & 15th October 2014, for male and female graduates respectively. In Fujairah the ceremonies will be held over two consecutive days; 21st & 22nd October 2014 for male and female students respectively. The ceremonies will be streamed live on the commencement website on the specified dates and can be enjoyed through live updates on all social media networks by following #austgrad14.
The “Thank you, Khalifa” Class of 2014 will honor 1400 graduates in Ajman and 571 in Fujairah, bringing the total number of AUST alumni since inception in 1988 to 28,787.
