Hamad Bin Ghalaitha contributes a generous AED100,000 to Thamer Fund

Ajman University’s Thamer Salman Fund for Educational Solidarity received a benevolent contribution from Mr. Hamad Bin Ghalaitha Al Ghufli, Private Secretary to His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman. The generous AED 100,000 contribution will support students who are faced with financial hurdles which impede their academic progression.

The contribution was received by Mr. Abdullah Saeed Salman, Manager of Thamer Fund, in the presence of Mr. Osama Saeed Salman, AUST Vice-President, and Dr. Abdul Haq Al Nuaimi, Director of the Community Service Department.

Mr. Osama Salman emphasized that such contributions go a long way in assisting students and reiterated that such efforts reinforce the spirit of solidarity and the concept of “One Family United” established by the wise leadership of our beloved emirate. No efforts have been spared by HH Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi when it comes to supporting the humanitarian projects and charitable works in the emirate.

On his part, Mr. Hamad Al Ghufli expressed his pleasure in contributing to such a noble cause for which the Fund is established. He explained that this support is a reflection of his commitment to “the implementation of the supreme directives of Ajman Ruler in promoting and encouraging the educational sector” adding, “the students constitute the future of this country and they represent the nation-builders of tomorrow.”

Hamad Al Ghufli modestly expressed that his support to this fund initiated by the late Thamer Salman, who was always a vanguard at humanitarian work, is all but a small gesture and tribute to his soul.

Mr. Abdullah Salman, expressed his appreciation for the endorsement of the very spirit for which the Fund was created. Supporting the students when and where they are hindered not only assists them to further the course of their education but also encourages them to pursue a hassle free path towards their goals knowing well that the University is alongside them at the time of need.

Since its inception Thamer Fund has assisted numerous students at various stages of their education and continues to do so with fervor.
