Ajman University Signs MoUs with Health Authorities in Ajman

Ajman University in a unique venture signed three Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with health Authorities in the Emirates of Ajman. The Ajman Medical Zone, Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Hospital and Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Women Hospital. The cooperation will encompass and extend through the areas of Scientific research, training, events and activities which include contributing to the society and country at large.

At the ceremony Mr. Osama Saeed Salman, Vice-President, Ajman University signed the MoUs with His Excellency Hamad Obaid Al Shamsi, Director of Ajman Medical Zone, His Excellency Saleh Hamad Al Junaibi, Director of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Hospital and Her Excellency Aisha Ibrahim Reyaysa, Director of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed and Women's Hospital for maternity and children.

Under these agreements, university students will be able to complete their field training in the facilities and hospitals in order to get first-hand knowledge of the professional environment and functions of a hospital. The agreement will also extend into the areas of scientific research and events that that will be jointly organized for the mutual benefit of both students and practitioners.

Mr. Osama Salman stated that these cooperation’s are aligned with the University’s vision and objectives that ensures the students are well equipped academically and vocationally when they enter the labor market. More than 30000 students have graduated since the inception of Ajman University of Science and Technology under the same principal of practicing what they learn. These are also a reflection of the vision of the wise leadership of Ajman set by His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman.

On his part, Mr. Hamad Obaid Al Shamsi, Director of Ajman Medical Zone, stated that the memoranda of understanding that was signed between the Ajman Medical Zone Management, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Hospital and  Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Hospital for women, childbirth and children and the educational institution of Ajman University of Science & Technology, comes within the framework of joint cooperation and building strategic partnerships with community and institutions. 

Al Shamsi added that the memoranda of understanding is to achieve comprehensive strategic vision  of the Ministry of Health, which is based on building bridges of cooperation with educational edifices in order to build national cadres qualified scientifically and academically to contribute effectively to the achievement of universal health development pursued by the Emirate of Ajman.

Adding that cooperation with Ajman University will witness realistic results in various educational and training areas that are in the interest of both parties in terms of building effective partnering relationships to achieve common strategic objectives, as well as the exchange of knowledge and expertise and institutional experiences and researches at all levels.

These Memoranda of Understanding is committed to harnessing all the resources available at these institutions to enhance the academic and professional experiences of the student through facilitation of exchange of experience and expertise.
