Amazing Apps Win Accolades at Driodcon

Students from the College of Information Technology at Ajman University of Science & Technology have won a prestigious award at the Driodcon, is a global developer conference series and a network focusing on the best of Android. 

The students Nada Ziad, Noorhan Taha, Asma Nasser, Fatma Talaat, Ruqia secured the First position by developing a hi tech watch that will guide the bag through Bluetooth, therefore eliminating the need to carry the bag always, with the tracking device it will follow the user who would be wearing the guiding watch. This amazing application for android won accolades at the international conference and the students proudly received the award for the best Android System Designed,

The second place winners have developed an e-commerce application, which is unique not because it’s a platform to buy and sell but it also facilitates communication between the two parties. By utilizing media as a common tool they have taken e-commerce to a different level all together. The students who achieved this feat are Maryam Al Ghamlasi, Khadeeja Ahmed and Haya Majdi.

The University and Dean proudly congratulated the students on winning two positions at the “Designing Android System” awards by Driodcon Foundation. The event was star studded with famous and renowned names in the technology world who judged the apps based on many criterions. The event also had workshops and forums on the sidelines to disseminate information about the latest in technology and its application in the mobile world.
