Eleventh Students Scientific Conference at Ajman University

Ajman University of Science and Technology held its “Eleventh Students Scientific Conference,” an annual event that celebrates achievements of graduating students and marks the culmination of knowledge acquisition in their undergraduate studies.

In the halls of Sheikh Zayed Center for Conferences and Exhibitions, Eighty-four researches from students of different majors were presented before panels of assessors. Researches of individual students or teams were judged for the relevance of the subject matter, validity of scientific details, coherence, and sound conclusions.

As a platform, the event furnishes students with a valuable professional skill that is the ability to adopt scientific disciplines in developing ideas and coming up with accurate results in their fields of study. On an interpersonal level, a student builds confidence when displaying his/her work before professors and peers.

Ajman University, which identifies itself as a research and development establishment, has been organizing the Conference for eleven years to instill in students the attitude of excellence through scientific research, which is at the heart of scientific and economic progress.

With the conclusion of both sessions, men and women students, assessors decided on the most distinguished papers and students were called upon to receive their prizes. In his speech honoring the winners, Prof. Zein Elabidine Rizk, the Director of Intellectual and Academic Authority, expressed his pleasure and pride for awarding the students who represent the future. He congratulated all participants, as it was difficult to decide on best researches. Prof. Rizk pronounced them all winners and promised the Twelfth Students Scientific Research will carry rewards to everyone including student advisors and organizers.

1- Amina Al-afia, Israa Nasr, Mina Jamal, and Haifa Mohammad from the College of Information, Mass Communication, and Humanities for their research “The Exploitation of YouTube Sarcastic Movies by Youth,” Supervised by Dr. Maha Abd El-Majid.

2- Zahra I.H. Al-Hano, Aya Mazin, and Walla Wail from the College of Pharmacy for their research “Concomitant Administration   of  Flax Seeds (Linum Usitatissimum ) And  Black Seeds (Nigella Sativa)  Oil   In Haloperidol Induced Catalepsy, In Albino Mice,” supervised by  Dr. Mohammad Waseemul Islam and Prof. Abd Elazim A. Ali.

 3- Atousa Aslaminezhad from the College of Engineering – Architecture – for her research “The Forgotten Children,” supervised by Dr. Gizela Loehlein.

4- Fatema Marwan Ahmad Abu Sahfiya and Sara Ali Mubarak from the College of Business Administration for their research “Managing Data Integrity in Private Schools: Case Study Emirates: Sharjah, Ajman & Dubai,” supervised by Dr. Rima M. Shishakly.

5- Maria Jihad from the College of Information Technology for her research “Smart Home Automation,” Supervised by Dr. Sayyed Abbas

6- Moza Mohammed Saeed from the College of Law for her research “Drug Addiction and Legal Prevention in Emirati Law,” supervised by Dr. Hala Bahr and Dr. Ghazi Hasan

7- Fatima Ahmad Darwish from the College of Education and Basic Sciences for her research “Mother's Role in Promoting Children's Creativity,” supervised by Dr. Randa Suleiman.

8- Warda Naeem and Sana Fatema from the College of Dentistry for their research “A Comparative Study for the Detection of Vertical Root Fractures by Using Three Different Imaging Modalities in an Invitro Model,” supervised by Dr. Dunia Alhadi and Dr. Alexander Luke.

1- Mohammad Borhan, Mohammad Barniah, and AbdelHadi Khaled from the College of Information, Mass Communication, and Humanities for their research “The Use of Social Media and its Indication of a University Students’ Educational Level,” Supervised by Dr. Maha Abd El-Majid.

2- Khaled Fakhro, Abdulrasul Mohamed, and Mohamed Talal from the College of Information Technology for her research “Bus Tracking System,” Supervised by Dr. Dr. Khaled Ammar.

3- Yousef Ali Mohammad Fakhraa  from the College of Law for her research “Property Rights in Civil Law According to Civil Procedures in Emirati Law,” supervised by Dr. Hala Bahr and Dr. Ghazi Hasan.

4- Amjd Shendi from the College of Engineering – Architecture – for her research “Ajman Mall,” supervised by Dr. Basem Saleh.

5- Basel Fawaz, Jad Moriss, and Sina Ali from the College of Dentistry for their research “Depth of Cure of Composite Using Different Light Curing Units,” supervised by AbdulHaq Suleiman.

It should be noted that Ajman University encourages and relentlessly supports students who pursue researches, as this is one of the fundamental criteria that sets the University apart. This conference is an ideal platform for students and faculty to utilize their knowledge and expertise in order to research which will benefit the community at large in the long run.
