“Good & Positive Citizenship” Forum attended by Student Council Members

Ajman University male and female student council members participated at the  Student Councils Forum, held under the title: “The Good and Positive Citizenship”. The forum witnessed a remarkable participation from UAE universities, colleges and institutions. It was under the patronage of His Highness Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior at the Higher Colleges of Technology in Dubai and in cooperation with the Watani Al Emarat Foundation.

The day-long forum was also attended Lt. General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chairman of Police and General Security in Dubai, Tariq Hilal Lootah, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs, Dherar Belhoul Al Falasi, Director-General of Watani Al Emarat Foundation and Brigadier-General Mohammed Abdullah Al Mulla, Coordinator and Public Relations Officer of the National and Reserve Service Authority and other dignitaries.

During the event, Lt. General Dhahi Khalfan said that a citizen is measured by his loyalty and sense of belonging and any deviation from this path is unacceptable by the UAE community, for the UAE is a prime example of solidarity and cohesion throughout Arab history.

He called upon citizens to truly know their country and to sacrifice all precious things they own for the sake and benefit of the country. “A positive and progressive citizen is one who seeks to give more to his country without waiting for anything in return,” he added.

The forum aims to strengthen national identity among the younger generation of UAE and encourage a culture of good and positive citizenship, as well as to educate young people about the aspirations of the country and its exceptional leadership.

Student Council members enthusiastically participated in the forum discussions. They thanked the management for giving them this opportunity to be part of a national initiative.
