Training Course on Challenges Facing the Graduates in the Labor Market

Ajman University of Science & Technology regularly updates the graduating students and the alumni about the practical world that awaits them. In line with this the University organizing seminars and training courses to keep them abreast of the latest trends and one such endeavor was the recent training course entitled, “The Challenges Facing the Graduates in the Labor Market”.

The course was delivered by Dr. Hisham Abdul Ghafoor, Assistant Professor, College of Information, Mass Communication and Humanities. He identified the basic deficiencies or inadequate skills in graduates like the general factors of communication skills, collaborative work skills, Problem solving techniques, Innovation and creative skills.

He also outlined the functional dimensions in the field of media and the different levels of the challenges faced by graduates with the evolving developments in the field of communication. He also explained the elements that should be considered when choosing the institution that suit the capabilities of the graduate and professional ambitions.

Dr. Ahmed Ankit, Assistant to President for External Relations appreciated the efforts of the trainers who assist in easing the transition of the students from the world of academia to the labor market.
