Ajman University at the 7th International Scouting Jamboree

Ajman University of Science and Technology Scouts Groups took part in the Seventh International Scouting Jamboree, hosted by the Emirates of Sharjah at the Sharjah Scout Camp. It is being held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah the camp has witnessed participation by 115 participants hailing from 92 countries.

Lasting for ten days, the International Scout Meeting was launched under the theme ''Scouting and National Tourism”. Representatives from Colleges at Ajman University are part of the preparatory committee of this initiative. The program included many activities, events and tourists visits to key landmarks along with educational lectures and exhibitions.

His Excellency Nasser Obaid Al Shamsi, Head Scout Commission Sharjah and Chief Executive Officer of the Supreme Organizing Committee remarked that this meeting coincides with the appointment of the Emirate of Sharjah as the capital of Arab tourism.

Ajman University encourages its students to have an all rounded educational experience on and off campus through such participations. These events provide avenues for students to experience different cultures.
