Nida H. Mohammad , a lecturer ,Unit of General Studies.In 2002, I promoted to Assistant Prof. Rank at the University of Mosul, Iraq. I hold an MA degree in “Applied Linguistics” from UK. In 2010, I was awarded the CELTA “Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults” by Cambridge University. I taught many English Language courses at different universities in the Arab World. I participated in revising ,updating &evaluating textbooks & versions of placement tests. At the level of Academic research, I published so many research papers in the area of Applied Linguistics . Some of these research papers have been submitted to International conferences. A part of professional development activities, I delivered many presentations on the field of learning & Critical Thinking. I have been offered so many letters of appreciation for my significant contribution in different mileu. Besides teaching, I compiled & designed a couple of academic courses: - " Technical Writing for Interior Design" for the Faculty of Engineering - Developing Competence in English, A Training Program for College of Law Instructors

  • From 1984-1992, I worked as a lecturer/ Mosul University, Iraq. I taught : Applied Linguistics, Grammar, Listening, Reading, Writing and Testing.
  • During the academic years 1992-1994, I joined the College of Education at Sana’a University; Yemen. I taught similar courses plus teaching ESP in different departments
  • In 1995, I rejoined my job at Mosul University/ Iraq. I taught English Language for PhD. students of Mathematics, Physics , Chemistry & Biology as well as Applied Linguistics , Grammar,.....
  • In 1997, I signed a three- year contract to teach at Garyounis. University, Libya. I taught Advanced Spoken English, ESP, Grammar, Linguistics, Methodology, Reading and Writing.
  • In 2001, I taught ESP at Higher Technical College, Oman.
  • I taught at Ajman University, Faculty of Foreign Languages & Translation, UAE. during the academic years 2004-2007, I taught the following courses : Advanced Writing, English I, English II, Grammar I, Grammar II, Reading Skills, Study Skills and Writing skills.
  • During the academic years 2007-2009, I was a ‘lecturer’ at IEP Sharjah University, UAE.
  • Recently, I rejoined my job at Ajman University, and I am still working as a lecturer at DFL. I taught many courses, some of I issued myself such as: Technical Writing for Interior Design, Methodology for Postgraduate Diploma , Communicative Grammar, as well as & others by the department: IELTS & TOEFL, EC Skills, Art of Public Speaking,...
