Kelvin Ian Afrashtehfar

Dr. Kelvin Afrashtehfar is a highly experienced and skilled board-certified specialist in reconstructive and aesthetic dentistry. He brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the field, having served as a university professor in the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) region and as a clinical instructor in North America. He currently holds a non-tenured Assistant Professorship in Prosthodontics at the Ajman College of Dentistry and a Visiting Professorship in Implantology at the Universität Bern Department of Reconstructive Dentistry & Gerodontology in Switzerland. Dr. Kelvin is known for his compassionate demeanor and ability to effectively treat patients with a range of intra-oral conditions, including dental implants (surgical and restorative), all-ceramic crowns, porcelain veneers, metal-free bridges, implant-overdentures, implant-bridges, full mouth reconstructions, advanced cosmetic dental restorative treatments, digital smile design, teeth in one day, All-on-4 or other types of full-mouth implant rehabilitation. He is also a sought-after clinician-scientist in the GCC region, with postgraduate training in Canada and Switzerland. He is a first-category specialist license eligible (Tier-1) in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman. He is also a board-eligible specialist of the American Board of Prosthodontics. Dr. Kelvin is entitled to practice Prosthodontics in Canada as he is an Annual Specialist Dentist License holder. He holds multiple prestigious research grants and awards, is a Fellow at several academies and royal colleges, and participates as an Editorial Board Member for The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry. His research interests are in evidence-based dentistry, and his work environments focus on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. His students are encouraged to review the treatment procedures before their patient's appointment to secure the highest professionalism and clinical efficiency standards. He is an excellent mentor and enjoys contributing to specialized private practices.
