Course Description

Introduction to environmental sciences in general, water, and energy resources. Three basic modules: environment, water, and energy. Environment module: Population dynamics, natural resources, pollution, remote sensing, and GIS applications, environmental protection, and sustainable development. Water module: hydrologic cycle, basics of hydrogeology, and water quality and water-related problems in the Gulf region. Energy module: Conventional and non-conventional energy resources, energy production, and using it as well as management and sustainability.
