Ajman University to Take Part in the 14th International Project Management Conference in Bahrain

The Project Management Office at Ajman University of Science and Technology will participate in the 14th International Conference of the Project Management Institute – Arabian Gulf Chapter (PMI-AGC), due to take place this January 28-30 in Bahrain. The conference is organized under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, Prime Minister, Kingdom of Bahrain. The event will bring together PMI fellows and experts from all over the world, notably US eminent speakers Michel Thiry and Jack Duggal.

Ajman University will be represented in this international platform by Eng. Tarik Al Haraki, Project Analyst at AUST’s Project Management Office. He will present a paper on how to initiate projects and the best way to implement smooth and efficient project management within a corporate. The paper will also discuss the technical aspects of establishing a project management office and how to manage the human aspect via an effective model for handling the process of change.

Commenting on the event, Eng. Al Haraki said “AUST’s participation in the 14th PMI-AGC conference reflects the wide academic expertise embraced by the university, which combines the world’s latest confirmed theories and practices to provide the business community with high-quality project management training and services.  Ajman University is one of the global knowledge providers for the PMI International.”

The theme of the conference is “Raising the Bar through Project Excellence”. This event serves as a forum for project management practitioners, engineers, planners, academicians and management to interact, share their experiences, improve their knowledge and showcase their projects and best practices. The conference lasts for three days and is accompanied by an exhibition. Besides a number of parallel tailored pre and post conference tutorial workshops will be held.
