AUST Students Participate in the 4th Family Forum

A student delegation from the College of Engineering, in coordination with the Department of Students Affairs, took part in the 4th edition of the Family Forum, organized by Sharjah Etihad Women Association under the theme “Direct Broadcast: A Social Responsibility.”

The delegation included students Noha Fathi, Yasmine Ayman, Safae Yahya, Yahya Gholam and Iman Ahmad, who were accompanied by Ms. Noor Chaghoori, administrative officer in the community service department. The forum addressed the issues of ethical engagement of modern communication channels and discussed means and methods to improve their role in accordance with the local values and standards.

The attending students were contented with this participation and applauded such initiatives which help preserve the society’s authentic values and ethics and raise awareness about the negative impacts that the widespread modern media tools can have.
