“Poets Gathering” at Ajman University

College of Information, Mass Communication and Humanities at Ajman University of Science and Technology organized a “ Poets Gathering” at Sheikh Zayed Centre for Exhibition and Conferences. Headlined by national poet Ali Al Khawar and Sheikh Majed Al Khatri in presence of other renowned poets Moatasim Hamza and Ali Al Saaabaan.

Dr. Amal Badr, Assistant Professor, College of Information, Mass Communication and Humanities welcomed the poets and moderated the event. Sheikh Majed Al Khatri dedicated a special poem to  His Highness Sheikh Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Ajman and Chaiman of Board of Trustees of Ajman University, and to His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, and the University of Ajman, this poem was recorded exclusively for the College of Information, Mass Communication and Humanities.

The audience enjoyed the national patriotic poems and those reflecting the everyday life of the community. Videos by the students of the college were also displayed.

At the conclusion, Dr. Hussam Salama, Dean, College of the Information, Mass Communication and Humanities and Assistant to Vice Chancellor for Academic and Administrative Affairs, distributed mementos to the poets and thanked them for honoring the university with their presence and participation.
