Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, officially inaugurates the “Ajman University Building” project of Thamer Fund for Educational Solidarity

Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman Municipality and Planning Department and Vice Chairman of Board of Director of Ajman University officially inaugurated the “Ajman University Building”. This is a project of Thamer Fund for Educational Solidarity. He also announced that His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman has generously allocated a second piece of land to support Thamer fund further.

Undertaken by the Thamer Fund for Educational Solidarity, the project will offer all rental proceeds from 26 residential units and 4 commercial units of the building, to students in need of financial aid, encouraging them to complete their higher education. The building stands on 2,600 square meters in the AL Jurf of Ajman. Students from the University will be able to apply for financial aid online.  

In attendance were cabinet members of Ajman University, namely Karim Seghir, Chancellor, Abdul Haq Al Nuaimi, Vice Chancellor for Advancement & Communication, Khaled Assaleh, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Mustahsan Mir, Executive Director of Institutional Planning and Effectiveness,  Rabi Al Khofash , Chief Operating Officer and  Nancy Stearns Bercaw, Chief of Staff. Along with Abdullah Al Mazroui, Chairman, Board of Directors of Thamer Fund and Ms. Alia Al Mazroui and Late Thamer Salman’s Children and Board members of Thamer Fund.

Commenting on the inauguration, Dr. Karim Seghir, AU Chancellor said, “Students at Ajman University have always been at the core of any strategic decisions we, as an institution have undertaken. This building marks a milestone in our future plans, as we are fully aligned in investing in our students from all walks of life. Our funding initiatives will enable them to excel in their respective academic programs and future careers.”

Thamer Salman Fund is a trust established to promote the concept of educational solidarity and supporting the student community. The Fund caters to students who face hurdles during their educational tenure and are unable to continue their education because of financial dues; this fund eases their way to their career.
