2 Ajman University BA Professors Honored at AGBA

The College of Business Administration at Ajman University of Science and Technology took part recently in the 7th Annual World Congress of Academy for Global Business Advancement (AGBA), which was held in Malaysia.

In the conference, Dr. Mohamed Chaker, BA faculty member at AUST presented a research paper entitled “Competency Skills Development in Accounting: Evidence from KIMEP, Kazakhstan”, and colleague Dr. Samia Abbas presented her research paper themed “Women Entrepreneurs Breaking Through: Push and Pull within UAE Cultural Context”. Both AUST faculty members were honored to chair one of the conference sessions.

Also, Dr. Chaker was awarded a very competitive award from the conference organizers in recognition of his professional contributions in research and to the “Academy for Global Business Advancement, USA (AGBA)”. The award is named “2010 AGBA Distinguished Scholar”.

In addition, Dr. Chaker was selected as member of the Editorial Board of “Journal of International Business and Entrepreneurship Development,” one of the international professional journal published by AGBA, and was appointed “AGBA Vice President in UAE”.

On the other hand, Dr. Samia was awarded a one-year membership with the Academy for Global Business Advancement, USA (AGBA).
