The Department of Interior Design at Ajman University’s College of Engineering organized a lecture entitled “Interior Design Projects: from Design to Implementation” presented by Interior Designer Alladin Alokosh, founder of the Yarmook Design Office, and graduate of the department at AUST.

The lecture; aimed at consolidation the students’ practical knowledge on interior design projects, reviewed the current practices and the many popular and large projects that were successfully implemented by Yarmook. Mr. Alokosh explained that every project starts with an idea on paper. He discussed the importance of the courses taught at the interior design department and how relevant they have proved to be for his professional success.

Interior Designer Allaadin expressed his happiness at coming back to the same place from where he graduated. His enthusiasm was dotted with pride at being a graduate of this specialized college.

Dr. Jamal Samanudy, faculty member in the department, and coordinator of the workshop, stated that the Department of Interior Design is keen on organizing special lectures and workshops to help achieve the program objectives and hopes to align the academic knowledge of the students with the practical skills required in the job market.

The workshop was attended by a large audience of students and faculty from the interior design department and the college of engineering.
