Carestream holds training at AUST Dentistry College

The newly and state-of-the-art Training and Radiology Center launched jointly; at Ajman University of Science & Technology, by AUST College of Dentistry and Carestream Health Inc. organized recently a series of training sessions for dental students and practitioners on the latest dental radiography hardware and techniques in over the course of four days.

The 4-day course included training on intra-oral radiography and cameras that are used for imaging inside the mouth.

The training sessions were conducted by Mr. Montassar Bin Tilli, service strategy development manager for the Carestream - MENA region. Mr. Bin Tilli emphasized that these trainings enhance the skills and efficiency in oro-dental treatment and diagnosis and allow trainees to learn about how to use the latest techniques employed in the field of dental imaging and radiology.

Bin Tilli, also explained that such courses are not only designed to train dental staff on how to operate these devices but also train them on technical support and maintenance services for a number of dental devices.

Dr. Salem Abu Fanas, Dean of the College of Dentistry at AUST, stated that the University spares no effort in supporting the College by all means, enhancing continuously its infrastructure and providing students and faculty alike with the best training and learning opportunities. He stressed that the cooperation between Carestream and AUST aims to provide the best services for patients and the latest training for students and faculty. The new Carestream Training and Radiology Center at AUST, he added, is unique in the Middle East and would grant AUST dental college an edge over all peer dental schools in the region.
