Ajman University Discusses Avenues of Cooperation with Trinity College, Ireland

Dr. Ahmed Ankit, Assistant to Ajman University President for External Relations met with Dr. Juliette Hussey, Vice-President for Global Relations at Trinity College, Ireland to discuss avenues of mutual cooperation between the two universities. The meeting was attended by Dr. Fahr Hayati, Dean, College of Engineering; Dr. Salim Abu Fanas, Dean, College of Dentistry and Dr. Mohammed Shamaseen, faculty member at the College of Pharmacy and Health Science.

The delegation exchanged views on hosting students from both universities and coordinating visits that will facilitate exchange of knowledge and expertise. The parties also considered organizing specialized workshops in the areas of interior design at the College of Engineering. This will assist AUST students in reviewing new trends in design pertinent to each region. Also discussed, were the possibilities of developing a program to conduct joint scientific research in the fields of Dentistry, Pharmacy and Health Sciences, through collaboration between the two universities and their corresponding colleges. 

The delegation from Trinity College toured the University and visited the Colleges of Engineering, Dentistry, Pharmacy and Health Sciences, along with a visit to the state of the art Media Studio and other student support facilities.

Dr. Ahmed Ankit, also briefed the delegation about the new projects currently underway at Ajman University which include the new hostel for female students, the sports complex, an endowment project and a unique Science Park which will house research and development centers for the first time in the Emirate of Ajman.
