Ruler of Ajman approves “AUST Science Park” project worth AED170 million

His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, and Chairman, Board of Trustees of Ajman University of Science & Technology approved the “AUST Science Park” Project.

AUST Science Park heralds a new era of research and education in the Northern Emirates, the implementation of this project will enhance the role of higher education in preparing the future generations to be competent and empowered with the skills and knowledge that can contribute positively to nation-building.

His Highness praised the work being done by Ajman University as a leading role model in the service of higher education in the Emirates of Ajman. Its distinct efforts in graduating our future generation bring glory to our nation.

This came during a meeting at the Ruler’s Court with His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Head of Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, Mr. Osama Saeed Salman, Vice President of AUST briefed him on the project plans, which will serve the academic and scientific progression of higher education in the Emirates of Ajman.

At the outset of the meeting with His Highness who graciously blessed the project presented by Mr. Osama Saeed Salman, who explained the vision, mission and strategic objectives of “AUST Science Park”. The presentation also outlined the buildings contemporary designs and the various disciplines that will be housed and catered to therein. Mr. Osama Salman pointed out that the total cost of the project will be around AED 170 million, it will have a capacity of 5 thousand students in all disciplines and cater to Locals and all nationalities alike.<span > 

Mr. Osama Salman praised the relentless support extended by His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, May Allah protect him, his approval and blessing for the project will herald in a new era of scientific and academic development in the region.

“This project is a translation of the vision that set up Ajman University in 1988,” stressed Mr. Osama Salman that “this vision has made the university a pioneer in the private higher education sector locally and regionally. For the past 26 years AUST has been graduating the human capital of the nation and this project provides the quantum leap in supporting the development of our beloved nation through research, training and scientific excellence”.
