Ajman University Students Enhance their Scouting Skills

Scouts Students from Ajman University of Science and Technology participated in the rehabilitation cycle of the pioneers of the new scout groups. It was organized by the Emirates Scout Association in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs at the University of Sharjah and was held over the course of three consecutive days.

Ajman University was honored during the opening ceremony of the session, which was attended by Dr. Hamid Majoul Al Nuaimi, Director, University of Sharjah, Dr. Rashad Salem, Director of Al Qasmiyeh University, Nasser Obaid Al Shamsi, Head of the Scout Commission, Sharjah and Abdullah Bilal Al Shamsi, Secretary General of the Emirates Scout Association.

 Mr. Salim Derbas student activities supervisor at the Students Affairs Department received the honorary shield on behalf of Ajman University.

The session included highlighting the basics, roles and functions of the Scout Leader, the campaigns objectives and the participants were told about the local, regional and international history of scouts. This was alongside the workshop to teach the participants the basic skills of scouts like; setting up tents, rope knots etc.

 The participating students received certificates in addition to the honorary shield during the closing ceremony.
