“Cyber Blackmailing” Awareness Campaign at Ajman University

Department of Community Services at Ajman University of Science and Technology and Ajman Police organized an awareness session for students from all Colleges and Departments at Ajman University. The lecture was entitled “cyber blackmailing”. Captain Dr. Mohammed Al-Swaidi briefed the students about the importance of publishing rules on social media and paying attention to the ethical and security issues of the community.

He added that technical advancements in the domain of communication, Information Technology and the Internet has led to new and advanced methods of complicated crimes.

Dr. Abdulhaq Al-Nuaimi, Director of Community Services, Ajman University pointed out that such awareness sessions are vital for the youth since those who commit such crimes are subject to legal repercussions. Dr. Al-Swaidi ended the awareness session by exposing the audience to different ways of avoiding such kind of extortion in order to maintain community stability & safety.
