Ajman University Signs Cooperation Agreement with Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Centre

Ajman University signed cooperation agreement with Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center (HHC). This comes with the framework of strengthening ties between the cultural heritage and academia, both of which are represented by the esteemed organizations. To keep abreast of the latest development through exchange of knowledge and research the cooperation will seek to incorporate the deeply rooted beliefs for the mutual benefit of the organization.

Dr. Karim Seghir, Chancellor, Ajman University signed the agreement with His Excellency Abdullah Hamdan Bin Dalmook, Chief Executive Officer of the Center, in the presence of Deans, Directors and Officials representing both the sides.

Chancellor Seghir expressed his delight at signing an agreement, which will strengthen the bond of collaboration to contribute productively to the cultural endeavors in the UAE and promote the comprehensive community awareness.

He pointed out that this agreement would facilitate an opportunity and open up avenues for both the concerned to take advantage of the expertise and experience to achieve the common goals.

For his part, H.E. Abdullah Hamdan bin Dalmook, CEO of The Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center, said, “With the guidance of the Crown Prince of Dubai, we are proud to sign this agreement with Ajman University, in our pursuit to safeguarding UAE’s intangible heritage and enhancing national identity. This crystalizes within the Center’s mission to support the overall collaboration schemes with academic institutions as the youth contribute the most in a society and represent the future”.

“The agreement comprises a multifaceted work plan, including printing distinguished woks and thesis of post graduate students and scholars specialized in the field of heritage, as well as carrying out awareness campaigns ensuring to pass on our heritage from one generation to the other”, concluded Bin Dalmook.

This agreement provides support for cooperation in the exchange of information and its sources, in the field of scientific research and consultancy related to heritage and culture. Joint ventures such as the organizing of conferences, seminars, workshops and exhibition is also part of the agreement.

The agreement also enhances cooperation in the field of human resources and the exchange of experiences during national and official events.  The Center will also undertake the vocational training of a number of university students during the academic year. These students will hail from various colleges at AU representing the different specialization and nationalities. These training will equip them with the necessary skill set to be able to contribute constructively to the society and excel in their academia.
