New Alumni Council Elected at AU

Ajman University announced the names of the newly elected members of the Alumni Council at the meeting held on campus. Alumni Office organized an event to acquaint old students, our alumni, with the new achievements and progress of AU. They invited the members for a tour of the campus which included the new college of medicine and students center soon to be inaugurated.

They relived old memories on a new campus and toured the state of the art sports complex and female housing accommodations along with other units. They were briefed on the new initiatives undertaken to enhance community engagement that support the students both financially and through networks, one such initiative is “A tree to set them free”. Members of the community buy a tree, varying in nature, which is then planted on University grounds, the funds raised go towards the graduates fund which releases the applicants from any financial burden and assists them to achieve their final certificate.

Dr. Karim Seghir, AU Chancellor and the members of the higher management, warmly welcomed the alumni. Chancellor Seghir encouraged them to be active ambassadors of AU locally, regionally  and globally. He put forth the strategic plan of AU and the goals of global outreach; he highlighted the 14 chapters that have been launched across the world to connect the 34000 alumni.

The newly elected council members are Ms. Hanadi Said Ayoub as President; Mr. Hashem Salem Hashem as Vice-President, Mr. Tarek Shahin as Executive Assistant and Ms. Mooza Hasan Al Zaabi as Public Relations officer. They voiced their common honor of being able to serve their alma mater and be an active part of the UAE alumni council. They take office to collectively serve their fellow alumni and further the strategic vision of Ajman University.
