"Street Art" Show Puts AU Student Talent on Display

The "AU Street Show" event organized by the Fine Arts Center of the Deanship of Student Affairs at Ajman University concluded today and lasted for three days. Dr. Karim Seghir, AU Chancellor, opened the exhibition and was accompanied by Dr. Nahla Al-Qassimi, Dean of Student Affairs.

The event highlighted the art of painting on the walls, which has been able to create a distinctive path between the methods of contemporary art, which succeeded in recent years to attract many amateur and graphic professionals and has a wide audience across the globe. A group of students succeeded, most notably Abdel Wahab Medina, who was able to design free drawings on walls using surreal lines of art, caricature art and calligraphy, using black and white spray paint.

For her part, Mrs. Mona Jabali, the Fine Arts Officer at the University, confirmed that the Fine Arts Center organizes exhibitions to provide university students with an opportunity to display their creativity and talents in drawing. The paintings featured different styles of modern art schools, she pointed out that the Center of Fine Arts adopts student talents and shows them to the outside world by organizing individual and group exhibitions at the local and international levels, and participating in university and international art competitions and festivals.
