Humanities & Sciences College Organizes Career Day

The Office of Practical Training at the College of Humanities and Sciences and the Office of Career and Placement Services at the Deanship of Student Affairs at Ajman University organized a career day which was attended by more than 120 Alumni and students expected to graduate from the college as well as guests from institutions and other partners.

It is worth noting that Prof. Ould Hamoud, Dean of the College of Humanities and Science inaugurated the day with a speech welcoming the audience. He stressed in his speech the importance of strengthening the relationship of students to the external community and the labor market.

During the career day, a number of discussion sessions were held for speakers and specialists, during which they presented a wide range of topics. Dr. Sheikha Alary, a faculty member at the Higher Colleges of Technology and a former member of the Federal National Council and the Arab Parliament, presented a lecture entitled "Be Yourself”. In addition, Dr. Khalil Karkhi, a psychiatrist at Ajman Private Hospital, also gave a lecture entitled "Professional Tracks for Psychiatrists and Psychologists". Moreover, Mr. Ali Alrashidi, Assistant Director, Human Resources Development Department, Ministry of Education, Sultanate of Oman, delivered a lecture entitled "Self-Building Approaches.”

In addition, a panel discussion was held for the College's distinguished graduates who hold different positions in the labor market. They were hosted to convey their experiences, expertise and success stories to the students expected to graduate.

A special session of mock interviews was organized for students expected to graduate. Three training workshops were held for alumni and students expected to graduate with the aim of providing them with the required skills of CV Writing and successfully pass job interviews. In addition, Mr. Mohamed Ismail, Director of the Training and Employment Office at the Deanship of Student Affairs, presented a workshop on CV Writing. In addition, Ms. Inas Khalil, Head of the Office of Practical Education, presented a workshop on Interview Skills.

Whereas, Dr. Bilal Zakarneh, Head of the Department of Foreign Languages, presented a workshop on the “Art of Self-marketing” where he touched upon the goals of self-marketing, developing a healthy sense of self-confidence, creating a unique personal brand, and the optimal use of the self-marketing tools.
