Make it Sustainable Forum, Ajman University

About

Under the Patronage of H.H. Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, “ Make it Sustainable” Forum is organized by Ajman University in partnership with the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment.

The event will aim to shed light on the role of higher education institutions in promoting sustainability and climate action and in strengthening synergy and collaborations between various stakeholders such as government officials, academia, industry experts and NGOs. The goals of the Forum are in alignment with the upcoming COP28 and the recent announcement of the Year of Sustainability in the UAE. The program is enriched with a line-up of high caliber distinguished keynote speakers, presenters, and panelists who are well known figures in UAE for climate action, sustainable development, biodiversity and ecosystem presevation, environmental health, zero waste, circular economy, decarbonization, energy efficiency and renewables, EHS, climate research and much more.

The 3 main pillars of "Make it Sustainable" Forum are:

- Role of Higher Education Institutions

Promoting the role of higher education institutions in shaping the future of sustainability and climate action. This can be showcased in the form of panel discussions, case studies and workshops within the conference.

- Platform for Synergies

Bridging the gap between higher education institutions, public & private sectors, SMEs, NGOs and industries in adapting operations and strategies towards sustainability partnerships, circular economy knowledge and service sharing and capacity building.

- Road to COP28

Providing insights on the upcoming COP28, adaptation and mitigation strategies, research and curricula integration, carbon offset programs, carbon capture and abatement, successful sustainability stories, biodiversity conservation, total energy and decarbonization transformations and youth empowerment.

Make It Sustainable Forum will take place on April 26, 2023, at the Sheikh Zayed Center for Conferences and Exhibitions, Ajman University from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Event Venue

Sheikh Zayed Center for Conferences & Exhibitions is the first and only multipurpose facility in Ajman dedicated to hosting major events. Since 2005, the Center has supported and organized numerous local, regional and international conferences, cultural and artistic exhibitions, social and economic events and training courses. The Center has seven halls that can be configured and arranged to accommodate up to 2000 guests. Three side corridors can be used for sideline events and catering services. The Center has a state-of-the-art audio/visual system and an HD projector with a 300-inch screen.
