Sai Hanuman Sagar Boddu

Dr. Sai H.S. Boddu is a Professor of Pharmaceutics and Head of Pharmaceutical Sciences Department in the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Ajman University (AU). He earned his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Before joining AU, Dr. Boddu spent 7.5 years at the University of Toledo. He holds two patents and has published over 130 research and review articles in various peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Boddu is also a co-editor of the book Excipient Applications in Formulation Design and Drug Delivery. He is an active member of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) and participated in various focus groups and communities. He served as a Scientific Programming Advisory Committee member for 2025-Interphex meeting and also moderated a Quick Fires session. Dr. Boddu is among the top 1% of highly cited global scientists in Clarivate 2024 list and top 2% of global scientists in Stanford University's 2024 list. Additionally, he serves as Associate Editor for Cancer Reports and Scientific Advisor for the Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Dr. Boddu's current research focuses on developing novel drug delivery systems for treating a range of diseases, particularly retinal diseases.
