College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences receives its new students with white coats

The new students of College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences officially marked the beginning of their pharmacy education at Ajman University. The class of 2023 received their white coats from Professor Khaled Assaleh, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Professor Nageeb Hassan, Dean, College of Pharmacy, in the presence of the faculty and staff of the college.

The ceremony, which was launched with the UAE national anthem and holly Quran, was opened by a welcome speech from the College dean.

Dean Hassan first welcomed the new students to the 2019-2020 academic year in the second White Coat Ceremony for the Ajman University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Professor Hassan encouraged the students to work hard and wished them a fruitful professional journey, concluding his speech by saying “Wear your white coats proudly and remember that you will be able to make a difference”.

Professor Assaleh congratulated them for being admitted in one of the top 2.8% Universities worldwide and in one of the top Pharmacy Colleges in the region, and one of the few Colleges outside USA with internationally certified B. Pharm program from the Accreditation Council of Pharmacy Education (ACPE) in the USA, to make the first step towards their future pharmacy career.

After the students officially received their coats from the Vice Chancellor and the College Dean, amid joy and happiness on the faces of the students. One of the alumni gave a speech to the freshmen about her experience during the years of study in the college and gave them some advices. At the end, the students stood up to recite “Oath of the Pharmacist” by saying “I promise to devote myself to a lifetime of service to others through the profession of Pharmacy”.
