Ajman University Awards the Promising Researchers

Ajman University encourages students to excel in scientific researches and to celebrate their achievements in the various field, a day was dedicated to them. “Research Day” initiative is designed to motivate promising researchers both faculty and students.

Dr. Khalid As Saleh, Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs inaugurated the exhibit of scientific researches and poster presentations. He toured the exhibition and students gave detailed explanations about their projects and researches. The students also briefed the management about the practical applications of the researches and their repercussions at being able to serve the community around them.

Dr. Kamran Arshad, Dean of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, in his speech during the event pointed out that AU keenly follows- up with the application of scientific researches and it has already initiated many projects into their final stages this enhances the role of AU as the leading University to support and promote research initiatives.

The winning students were selected after judging through a committee at college level. 20 winners from 8 colleges including teams and individuals were chosen after clearing all the criteria. These students represent the foundation of a new generation of promising researchers from both undergraduate and graduate program students.

The topics covered by the students are closely related to the society and its problems. Some of the topics included the latest trends in innovation like the usage of augmented reality in assisting students with autism, technology to disrupt the current system of selecting outstanding students before University, filtering images being circulated on the digital media, child protection, reduction of gestational diabetes using technology, and other interesting topics.
