ICFDA'22 Awards

 

1.Mittag-Leffler Award: FDA Achievement Award

The selection of an individual to receive this award will be made on the following basis:

The Award is given for a cumulative contribution to the field of “Fractional Derivative and Applications.” An individual may receive the Award only one time.

2.Riemann-Liouville Awards: Best FDA Papers (theory, application)


Awards are given for best papers in the two categories, one for theory, and one for applications. All the (co)authors of awarded papers should appear on their own certificates.

Dr. Roberto Garrappa (Univ. of Bari, Italy;  joint with Andrea Giusti, Francesco Mainardi), Keynote speaker: “Variable-order fractional calculus: From old to new approaches”

Prof. Carla Pinto (Polytechnic of Porto, Portugal), Invited speaker: “Probabilistic analysis of a foundational class of non-integer second order linear differential equations in Classic Mechanics”

 

Prof. Sverre Holm (University of Oslo, Norway): “Natural occurrence of fractional derivatives in Physics"

 

Prof. Ryad Ghanam (Qatar) & Prof. Edward L. Boone (USA): “A-optimal experimental designs for fractional partial differential equations concerning flow through porous materials”

 

 

3.Grünwald-Letnikov Awards: Best Student Papers (theory, application: First place, Second place and Third place)


Awards are given for best papers in the two categories: for theory and for applications.

To be qualified for the best student paper award, the first author must be a student or post-doctor.

The author must indicate that the paper is submitted for consideration of the best student paper award in author's comments when the paper is submitted on-line.

The recipients receive certificates.

4.JAT Machado Award: FDA Dissemination


FDA Dissemination Award is now named after JAT Machado, to honor his memory and contributions and wide range activities in popularization of FC and its applications. The award is given to individuals whose have been recently most active in dissemination of Fractional Calculus among the scientific community, industry and society. ​An individual may receive the

Award only one time.

 

Winner Names:

Prof. Alain Oustaloup (CRONE Equipe, France)

   

Notes:

1.Members of the Award Committee cannot be authors /co-authors of nominated papers or to be nominated themselves for Awards. 

2.The FDA Award Committee shall be responsible for conducting a ballot to select the recipients for each prize.

3.Awards will be awarded to participants who participated face-to-face only.
