Dr. Reyad El-Khazali

Speech Title:   Analysis and Design of Lα Cβ Lγ filters in Grid Connected Inverters

He just published a new journal article entitled “k-index: A new Dynamic Performance Research Indicator”, which effectively measures the impact of the research outcome of a researcher. It provides more accurate differentiation between researchers that were not possible via the well-known h-index.
He co-authored a book entitled “Fractal Elements and their Applications” and two book chapters and published over 80 articles in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences.
Dr. El-Khazali is a member of several editorial boards such as the Applied Numerical Mathematics, the International Scholarly Research Network (ISRN), and Progress in Fractional Calculus Journal. He is a steering committee member of the International Conference of Fractional Differentiation and its Applications (ICFDA) since 2012, a steering member of the Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems (MWSCAS) since 2017. He served and still serving as a member of TPC of several national and international conferences, organized several conferences and chaired many sessions.
He gave several invited talks such as at the University of Kazan, Russia in 2013, and 2018, at the University of Guelma, Algeria in 2012, at the American University of Sharjah, at the University of Sharjah and during ICFDA conferences of 2008, 2016, and 2018 conferences.
Mr. El-Khazali is an IEEE member. He supervised more than 60 hardware projects where his teams designed flying car, and hybrid drone, and Fogg dissipation drone, where his teams participated in national and international competitions such as Super -mileage Car competition/ USA in 2019 and 2020, and 2021, and Global Electric Competition (GEVC) 2022, Drones for good in 2015 in Dubai-UAE. His teams won first place in the IEEE competitions in UAE in three consecutive years; 2006, 2007, and 2008. He also served as a judge in several competitions organized by the MOE in UAE.
He is an active educator that disseminates and educate local communities of UAE about the effect of mobiles on human bodies, especially those of young children, and the forfeiting of electrical and electronic appliances in local and global markets.
