Course Description

The course is intended to help dental students to study and understand the basic terms and facts about the gross anatomy of the head region of the human body. The course includes the study of the detailed structures of the skull, the head its nerve, and blood supply. Further, the course includes full descriptions of the various muscles and glands of the face, orbit, nasal cavity, oral cavity, the floor of the mouth, palate, tongue, and cranial cavity. In general, the course will provide the dental student with the fundamental and detailed structures of the skull and head as related to dental practice.
