Management Accounting is an essential tool that enhances a manager’s ability to make effective decisions through various internal financial information.  Management accountant is involved directly in the process of analyzing, planning and forecasting internal financial information for production decisions. This course exposes the student to advanced cost accounting techniques. It also covers analysis for decision making such as CVP and the concept of relevant information in pricing and production decisions. The cost-planning element is covered under master budget and capital budgeting technique. Furthermore, various theoretical management control systems including the concept of responsibility accounting, decentralization, performance evaluation and introduction to contemporary management accounting techniques are given special weight in this course.
