Technology today is not just a means for career advancement or merely a skill needed to survive in society. It’s a tool that enables us to make an impact beyond our own lives. Students in this course will explore the two fundamentals of Information Technology: computers and communications technologies. Computers types, their components and how they operate on data will be reviewed. Through different IT-enhanced activities where collaborations, communications and security are central, students will evaluate and apply IT concepts, products and services in their personal, academic and professional lives. Societal, privates and ethical issues will be exemplified. At the end of the course, students will master the critical thinking to become fully functional member of today’s computerized world.
