This course will explore the main principles and techniques of Total Quality Management that have significant impact on manufacturing and service operations. Topics that will be covered during the course may include (but not restricted to) the following: Introduction to Total Quality Management and Quality Theory for six quality gurus; Designing and Assuring Quality; Implementing Quality; and Improving the Quality System. Students will be exposed to different statistical tools used in the analysis, evaluation and implementation of different areas of Total Quality Management. Recent performance excellence models and awards will be explained such as EFQM, MBNQA, ISO 9001-2015, Lean Six Sigma, SKEA, ADAEP, and DQA.
