International Business
Course Description

This subject provides an in-depth perspective of managing international business. Since business is becoming increasingly global, firms are requiring managers to understand and be able to resolve the challenges faced in surviving and succeeding in this competitive environment. Greater internationalization requires firms to be more competitive, dynamic, and interdependent. Managers must understand the complexities of global economic, political, socio-cultural, and financial forces and recognize how they affect cultural diversity, handling the increased risk of international operations, and developing appropriate international strategies. The subject focuses on building advanced global skills. Many case examples covering a range of both local and international businesses, from small organizations to large multinational companies, will provide learners with a realistic depiction of the challenges and opportunities that are inherent in international business.
