Course Description
This course examines the role of finance in addressing the planet’s pressing social and environmental challenges. It explores how financial decision-making can support long-term sustainability by aligning investment and corporate strategies with broader societal goals. The course introduces students to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the evolving role of the financial system, and the transition toward more sustainable economic models. Students will learn to apply essential financial functions to sustainability challenges, evaluate the impact of ESG factors, and comprehend the various stages of socially responsible and sustainable finance by engaging with real-world and industry-relevant contexts.
