Course Description
Today, HRM practitioners are expected to enhance the effectiveness of their employee-related decisions by following systematic and data-driven approaches and techniques. Therefore, various people analytics related to recruiting, selecting, retaining, training, promoting, evaluating, and compensating employees will be explored in this course. The emphasis will be on how these tools and methods can be applied when executing various HRM practices and activities. The key course objectives include: examining the key strategies that HRM uses to efficiently develop and implement people analytics; equipping students with the skills to use the fundamental statistical tools and principles in people analytics for career management, performance management and compensation, organizational change, recruitment and selection; and creating opportunities for students to understand how people analytics can be applied in situations by drawing on the recent and contemporary projects, practices, and real-life cases.
