Ajman University Promotes Inclusive Community Health Education Through Dental Outreach Initiative at Alzohour Private School, Sharjah

The College of Dentistry at Ajman University, successfully conducted a dental education and screening outreach activity at Alzohour Private School on 14 April 2025 as part of its School Health Program.

The initiative reflects the university’s commitment to expanding access to quality health education, promoting preventive healthcare awareness, and strengthening community engagement through meaningful educational outreach activities. By providing oral health education and free dental screenings for students, teachers, and staff, the program contributed to improving health literacy and encouraging lifelong healthy practices within the community.

During the event, dental professionals and faculty members from the College of Dentistry delivered interactive educational sessions focusing on proper brushing techniques, flossing practices, preventive dental care, and the impact of nutrition on oral health. Free dental screenings were also conducted to help identify oral health concerns and provide participants with personalized guidance on preventive care and treatment recommendations.

Students actively participated in engaging educational activities designed to reinforce healthy oral hygiene habits in an interactive and age-appropriate manner. To further support oral health awareness beyond the event, each student received an oral hygiene kit containing toothbrushes, toothpaste, and educational materials for continued learning at home.

The event witnessed strong participation from students, teachers, and staff and highlighted the value of university-school collaboration in fostering awareness, preventive healthcare practices, and community development.
