Course Description

This second-year studio course focuses upon the understanding of architectural convention in relation to cultural, sociological, and general human-related aspects. Based on a socio-cultural understanding of design students are encouraged to develop their analytical problem-solving skills. Furthermore, this studio course introduces strategies of architectural design. Students develop an architectural project based on a building program and site. Issues concerning building assemblies, structural systems, building envelope systems, and environmental systems are covered.
