Course Description

This course aims to introduce students to basic concepts and properties of building structural components and their materials. He will be able to analyze main stress directions and select a relevant structural system (short/ medium span) for the project at hand. It also aims to familiarize students with water, damp proofing, enclosure system (windows and doors), internal finishing materials (partitions, flooring, ceiling), and means of vertical circulation. In this course, students will be acquainted with various finishing materials, their properties, and their means of application.
