Course Description

This course aims to introduce students to basic concepts of sustainable design and its application in architecture considering the environment and quality of space. The course provides students with a thorough understanding of the nature and scope of sustainable architecture and of the components of sustainable design.  Students will be able to select the best forms and smart construction materials for design in different regions to produce sustainable buildings and reduce energy use.  Students also will be getting acquainted with relevant computer applications used in sustainable design, analysis, and calculations of energy use in buildings
