Course Description

This second-year studio course focuses upon the understanding of architectural convention in relation to cultural, sociological and general human related aspects. Based on a socio-cultural understanding of design approach students are encouraged to develop their analytical problemsolving skills. Furthermore, this studio course introduces the strategies of architectural design. Students develop an architectural project based on a building program and site. Issues concerning building assemblies, structural systems, building envelope systems, and environmental systems are covered.
