Dr. Afaq Hyder is a skilled professional, awarded a bachelor of Architecture degree (B. Arch) in 1997, Masters’ degree (MSc. Building) in 2007 and Doctoral degree (PhD. Architecture) in Feb 2011. He is a versatile academician with a background of 22 years of professional university teaching experience (Undergraduate & Post Graduate) at national and international universities. Dr. Afaq also possess a 20 years of field experience as a professional licensed architect and able to manage his professional role as designer, specifier, project manager and architect-of-record. His architectural practice expertise includes designing and construction of boutique hotels, recreation clubs, low & mid-rise residential buildings and remodeling, renovation & adaptation projects. In addition, he is capable to conduct research on contemporary issues of housing and urban design and smart cities. Dr. Afaq has published 22 papers in quality research journals of international repute. His published research work is oriented towards urban issues, housing design & its quality, sustainable housing, use of mobile technology in housing quality, design/housing satisfaction survey, housing quality profile, quality framework development and design defects.
