Raghad Nawaf Mourad

Dr. Raghad Nawaf Mourad is a dedicated lecturer with 14 years of direct classroom experience, teaching courses in Architecture, Building Engineering, and Construction Management specializations. The courses she has recently taught include Introduction to Design, Engineering Graphics, Perspective Shade and Shadow, CAAD, Freehand Drawing, Landscape Architecture, Building Construction, and Building Science. She currently serves as the Chair of the Books and Library Resources Committee, Chair of the EHS Committee in the College of Architecture, Art, and Design, Coordinator for the Students Success Center (SSC), and is a member of many committees within the AU Architectural Department. She also has 5 years of experience as an architect designer, and coordinator for several large projects at Halcrow (now known as CH2M), one of the leading infrastructure and architecture companies worldwide. She has won several design competitions. As a Global Ambassador of Sustainability, Dr. Raghad actively promotes innovative strategies that balance aesthetics, functionality, and ecological responsibility. Her commitment to sustainability was recognized in 2024 when they were honored as a Sustainability Champion. In recognition of her outstanding contributions to education, Dr. Raghad was named the Most Inspiring Woman Leader in Education at the Women Entrepreneurs Conference and Awards 2024, the largest women's entrepreneurial gathering in Dubai on International Women’s Day. She is a Certified Moodle Educator, and she has been recognized as one of the 2025 Global Leaders through the Global Business Conclave 2025, London, UK. With a passion for fostering innovation in architecture and education, Dr. Raghad continues to bridge the gap between theory and practice, advocating for a future where design and sustainability go hand in hand.
