Dr. Xueying Wang is an Assistant Professor of Architectural Engineering at Ajman University, with a multidisciplinary academic and professional background spanning leading institutions in the UK, Hong Kong, and the UAE. Her research focuses on sustainable and smart construction materials, low-carbon cementitious systems, self-sensing materials and structural health monitoring, bio-mediated geomaterial engineering, sustainable use of desert materials, geo-energy and low-energy cooling systems, and resilient infrastructure, complemented by numerical modelling and data-driven machine-learning approaches. Her research has been published in leading international journals in construction materials and infrastructure engineering, demonstrating a growing track record of high-quality and impactful scholarship. Alongside academia, she has industry experience in the development and commercialisation of advanced construction materials, helping bridge fundamental research with real-world engineering applications. Dr. Wang actively contributes to the international research community through journal reviewing and editorial activities and has received a range of international awards, scholarships, and research funding, including the National Academy of Engineering (US) Silver Medal and the CSEE Best Paper Award. Her work is driven by the development of innovative, sustainable, and climate-responsive solutions for the future built environment.
